Erin Skeen

Hello! My name is Erin Skeen and I am the Library Media Specialist here at Marbury High School. I am product of Autauga County Schools and a proud graduate of Marbury High School Class of 2005.

After graduating from high school, I attended Auburn University at Montgomery where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Childhood Education. I taught Kindergarten and Third Grade in Montgomery Public Schools for 6 years. I later obtained my Master's Degree in Library Media from the University of West Alabama. I moved from the classroom into a Middle School Library at Floyd Middle Magnet School. When a job came open in Autauga County, I jumped in and transferred jobs! I worked at Autaugaville School to finish out the Spring of 2021 and then moved to Prattville High School. I worked in the Library as a Media Specialist and Technology Coordinator, also while running SGA. When the opportunity to come back to Marbury High School became available, I came home! I work in the Library here as a Media Specialist and Technology Coordinator, also while building up the SGA program. This is my 12th year in education.

I am happily married to my sweet husband, Michael, and we have three sons. I love spending time together going to plays, various music events, and family gatherings. I attend East Memorial Baptist church, where I play in the church orchestra and enjoy serving in other capacities. I also have a little furry baby - my 12 year old Shih Tzu, Bella.
